Marion Weymes was awarded a BA in Earth Science from Trinity College Dublin in 2013 and an MSc in Sustainable Development from The University of Exeter in 2016, where she was a recipient of the Exeter Award. Her research interests include urban sustainability and social practices, and her MSc dissertation investigated the relationship between energy efficiency in the private rented sector and the current housing supply in Dublin.
Marion is particularly interested in food waste prevention and previously worked with The Devon and Cornwall Food Association to encourage food suppliers to see ‘food waste’ as surplus food, which could be redistributed to charities and community groups.
Marion was a Research Assistant with SHARECITY from 2016-2018, helping to start up the SHARECITY research project and facilitate its progress.
